Here's a couple songs Judd recorded for his album. A great version of Streets Of Baltimore by Harlen Howard & Tom Paul Glaser. And One Believer by Susan Longacre and Walt Aldridge with Stuart Smith John Jorgenson and Pat Buchanan on the guitars. Check out the maestro echo plex Rob Feaster used when he mixed it.

If Disc of the day is an honor we reserve for the outstanding listening experience of the eve, we must take special note of the Tricia Steedley single reveiwed. No other record created such a loud howl of agaony: It has been years and years sincce I have been so, uh " struck " for sound.

But seiously, folks there is a clear-cut Disc Of The Day winner. Its is Willie Nelson. His version of " Graceland " is an exceptional sinble.

I also lost my heart to Lisa Stewart, Ronna Reeves, Shenandoah and Nanci Griffith during this listening session.

You need to hear all there efforts.

Are you still with me?

Okay: Here's what you do next. You call the good folks at Reprise Records and beg them, plead with them, for a copy of " Toys & Games " by a new guy named Judd Erickson. It will change your life. He is-need I add?-my uncontested Discovery Award winner of this column.
